Corporate History Navalimpianti Group , established in 1971, with headquarters based in Ceranesi, near Genova, includes two main branch offices – one in Genova harbour and the other in Monfalcone (near Trieste) and various controlled companies: Tecnimpianti , established in 1973 in Termini Imerese (near Palermo) specialized in the production of tender, lifeboat, rescue and raft davits; Navalimpianti USA , started in 1994 in Miami focussed mostly in the after-sales service; Navalimpianti Pula , started in 1996 in Croatia as an engineering studio for structural design works in 3D; Navalimpianti China, branch office opened in 1994 in Shangai, China, to offer commercial, technical and service support to ship-owners operating in the Far East and local shipyards; in 2007 the brand-new branches Navalimpianti Japan , commercial site in Tokyo, and Tecnimpianti Antwerp in Belgium, focussing mostly in the after sales service, were opened. Most recently Navalimpianti Germany , new representative office coordinating at best the progressing phases of work has been established in consideration of the constant and historical activity of the group at the German Shipyard Meyer Werft; Navalimpianti Emirates is the branch that the group has set up to monitor the market and follow more closely some of the present works in the area while Navalimpianti Singapore Pte. Ltd is the newest branch in the group being established in these days. Offshore Projects _ CastorOne For CastorOne , Saipem new Pipelaying Vessel, Navalimpianti Tecnimpianti Group has been providing the design, fabrication, assistance to installation and commissioning of the Pipe Handling & Storage System able to manage two 12’’ - to 34’’ 2 OD pipes at the same time ore one single pipe up to 60’’ OD and 52 weight. 5. The plant includes the full transfer and storage cycle for n° 4 pipe holds and n° 2 fore pipes string elevators from pre-fabrication deck to the firing line. The system fulfils the duties to load and store the pipes in “classified” hold piles, then collect them in the appropriate order, envoying them to the prefabrication deck or offload to main deck; finally the multiple joint pipes string are lifted to the sealine firing line. The pipes received on the deck loading stations from the deck cranes are aligned, measured in length, temporarily stored on the deck buffer. Then they are transferred to the hold storage piles via a deck hatch, an heavy pipe lift, an hold transfer station. Finally an “overhead robot-crane with rigid lifting arm” able to hand, at high speed, with high precision and without shock to preserve the external coating, picks or places the pipes from/t the hold pile and the hold transfer arm. Valve Remote Control Systems Navalimpianti Tecnimpianti has been specializing since 1971 in the design, fabrication and installation of Valves Remote Control Systems , sensible equipment on board of any ship to guarantee the safety of passengers and crew. So far more than 100.000 controlled valves, reliable equipments for the operation of ballast valves, fuel transfer, sea chest emergency closing, cross flooding valves, have been produced and mounted by the group. Navalimpianti Tecnimpianti expertise is today included in RAM - TORK - TORKLT linear and rotating hydraulic actuators and in the Standard and Winners type control systems. All VRCS fulfil Classification Societies’ requirements and are complete of installation accessories and emergency operation fittings. On request, turn key installations may be supplied.
