1. WISHES ABOUT THE PRESENT
When you are talking about your present
situation
When something is passing in present but you
want it to be different in the future
wish + past simple or continuous. wish + would/could + infinitive.
Examples
I am not rich. I wish I were rich I wish you would remember me
I have no time. I wish I had some time I wish I wouldn-t be so optimist
We are not leaving this city. I wish we were
leaving this city
I wish my mother would last forever.
WISHES ABOUT THE FUTURE
When you want or not something to pass in the future
Structure Wish + past tenses
