This magazine about dubstep music challenges conventions in its genre. It uses a sans serif font more suitable for dubstep than the serif font seen elsewhere. The cinematography is similar to other magazines showing lighting symbolic of a nightclub. While using the standard CMYK color scheme, it challenges conventions by including purple and yellow prominently rather than the typical colors.

1. Here there is a serif font. This is not conventional for my type of genre. This is a sans serif font which is more conventional for Dubstep music.

2. The Cinematography is used similar to other magazines. The lighting for instance is used as it symbolises someone in a nightclub. Similar to Mixmag as this shows lighting around the person on the front cover.

3. The magazine I chosen in some way challenges conventions as the genre, Dubstep is a upcoming music genre and for many people the way people see it, it is not like normal music. It is very different to other music and only a select few enjoy listening to the music that DJ’s produce. There are not many magazines that have a Dubstep theme, it is rare if you find a magazine.

4. This is the conventional colour scheme which is known as cmyk. My magazine challenges the convention of this as I have chosen purple as one of my main colours but I have used yellow as well which is part of the cmyk.
