2. My client is the NHS.
The NHS is short for the national health service.. The NHS are located over the united
kingdom. It is a healthcare system that offers free healthcare for brits brought under
the social welfare system. There is many hospitals, GPs and pharmacists that offer
these services.
The NHS is very accessible and has been since ww2 when it was originally introduced.
3. The better health campaign is made in order to prevent people from smoking and
drinking as well as helping people have a healthier life and get active.
The better health campaign offers a range of things that can increase life capacity
such as
- Drinking less
- Quitting smoking
- Getting active
- Losing weight
There is also guidance towards having a healthy mind for example they have a
guidance drop down that offers mind plans, anxiety easing emails and ways to
cope with stress and money worries.

As seen from my survey and focus
group teenagers think it is
acceptable to drink whereas not
many smoke. Therefore I would aim
my better health product at people
who drink alcohol mainly focusing
on young adults. I will aim this at A-
D classes, to target all of the uk.

6. For my ideas I am thinking about presenting a radio advertisement as well as doing print
edits and posters to publish in NHS embellishments.
I would like to explain the side effects of underage smoking and drinking and how it can
impact adulthood.
In my radio advert I am going to indicate a scene of friends having a few drinks in a bar, and
add in facts about binge drinking and indicate that weekly drinks can lower life span and
effect the human body
As well as this I will also do a few posters, one rather plain with the better health logo and
another with a more graphic image. I want to use slight scare tactics in my product as I
would like to make a harsh impact on the views to try and persuade them to make changes.
I am going to be inspired and take ideas from previous NHS campaigns and use them to
create my idea and bring it to life.
In my products I am going to use radio and print as I feel like that would be more accessible
and can be listened to over mobile phones when the pop up ads are on , as many young
people use phones for media sources. It also came up in my focus group that radio adverts
were listened too. As well as this lots of people go to doctors offices or practicians therefore
posters in there would be aiming at people who need help for relatable things, plus it could
give them guidance to access support through the doctors whilst being there.
Overall I think my product
would be good to use as I am
taking many approaches to
the advertisements with
multiple posters as well as a
radio ad. This gives large
coverage to my target
audience and indoctrinates
them into changing for the
better.
