2. There was an Earthquake in Christchurch on
Saturday at 4:35 in the morning and lots of buildings
crumbled.
Nobody was killed. Some people were thrown out of
bed when they were sleeping.
It happens when tectonic plates rub against each
other.

4. Haiti had a similar earthquake last year. They had
230,000 people die.
Christchurch didn’t have people die because the
buildings were very strong.
Haiti buildings were very weak and would of crashed
down easily on the people.
6. When there is an earthquake hide under something
strong for example a table that can fit you and protect
you.
You have to crouch down and cover your head with your
hands because if sharp things fall on your head it can
cause a lot of damage.
You have to crouch down because there might be objects
that fall on you during an earthquake.
7. Now you know what to do when there is an earthquake.
So remember these positions incase there is ever an
earthquake in Auckland. Go home and ask your parents
to get their emergency kit ready with water, food,a radio
and a torch!
