Healthcare facilities and professionals have had to rapidly adopt new protocols for treating COVID patients, including guidelines for management, vaccines, telemedicine, and increased use of personal protective equipment. Some key new standards include wearing face masks, social distancing, treatment guidelines, mobile health apps, limiting gatherings and travel, and increasing sanitization and hygiene practices. As the pandemic evolves, precision medicine approaches may drive new standards, with a focus on using the right tests and treatments tailored for individual patients.

“COVID 19 is updating the earth, so are the new standards”.
Ongoing and Post COVID-19 world is not as same before. We as a healthcare professional are fighting a
new battle and learning new things every day. “It is like we are building an airplane while flying it”.
There a growing numbers of new standards of care now and then after the pandemic has started.
There are new set of standards and protocols every day or in less than a week. Centre for disease
control, world health organization and Federal drug authority are racing towards time to make life
easier. There is inexhaustible research going on in the labs around the globe to study this virus and find
ways to make life healthier.
Every facility like hospital, nursing home, clinics, day, pharmacies, airports, schools, universities offices
and homes are adopting new set of standards every time. Myself as a quality specialist in healthcare I
have to update my self by new standards every time.
In Healthcare facilities, each of us has tons of obligations to lead a proactive role in covid era

As a quality specialist I believe taking vaccine, social distancing and proactive risk management approach
will solve many issues. The above set of standards are being followed everywhere aggressively to
mitigate the COVID pandemic.
Precision medicine will drive new standards of care in post COVID -19 world. In simplest terms precision
medicine is the right test for the right patient and at the right time. A physician must choose from an
array of complicated tests that are appropriate for a diagnosis and creation of a treatment plan for their
patient in a timely manner.
We can look to breast cancer, where precision medicine has played out for the past decade and has
made a way for updated treatment plan.
Once the impact of COVID-19 begins to minimize and activities settles into a new normal, efforts to
expand precision medicine will across many diseases will resume.
