2. Project Description:
National Grid (NG) is an international gas & Electricity Company and one of the largest investor-owned energy companies
in the world. They play a vital role in delivering gas and electricity to many millions of people across Great Britain and
north-eastern US in an efficient, reliable and safe manner. To increase the operational efficiency, NG has planned to
transform all the legacy systems into a common platform i.e. SAP and other best-of-breed applications like Click and Syclo
through Gas Distribution Front Office (GDFO) Programme, by tying up with Wipro. Systems in Gas Distribution were rolled
out phase wise and three releases were planned for this project. R1(Release 1) has implemented systems to Support
Emergency and Metering systems in Pilot areas identified by Business. R2 has rolled out complete Emergency systems,
Maintenance systems and Customer systems. With R3, all the legacy systems have been converted into SAP.

• As a CRM functional consultant, I am responsible for development, support, maintenance and implementation of
a complex project module.
• I was responsible to provide CRM functional design solutions for customers in Gas safety regulatory space by
automating the existing business process and bringing the solution in SAP CRM.
• I was responsible for the development, support, maintenance and implementation of small to medium
components of the project module by developing various IDOC interfaces between SAP CRM and ECC systems
and enhancing standard SAP CRM Web UI screens to capture Gas Safety regulatory details in the system.
• I was responsible SAPCRM configurations and document all the customization and functional documents relevant
to changes and performing extensive functional testing of the requirement and ensuring timely defect
resolutions and providing post implementation support for the complex changes done in the system.
• As Gas industry shifts towards the use of Smart meters. There is a requirement that systems are updated and
upgraded within the time frame to be able to capture all relevant information regarding the smart meter and I
was responsible to contribute in various workshops to provide such solution in CRM space.
• I have contributed in getting the design finalized and translate the design into a functional and technical
specification along with the development and performing functional unit testing for the requirement.
• I was also responsible to extend the support in various testing phases and assuring that developments are
completely tested and all the highlighted defects are properly analysed and resolved.
2. Southern Water – Application Support
Southern Water is water utility company in UK. They have a SAP solution already implemented where SAP CRM is
used as frontend application and is integrated with SAP ISU for Contract account, Contract, BP and Technical
objects like Connection objects, PODs etc. replication. General Move in, Move out, Product change activities are
performed in CRM and messages flows to ISU via middleware.
