6 of us met in Agile Palooza in Dec 2012. IN Jan 2013 we held our first meeting with seed money from Version One. We had 30 people attending. We quickly held event after event and that helped our rapid growth, listening to our community and tailoring events to what they are asking for.
Like User Stories, our events are split up into 3 sizes, SML
South Florida is HUGE. To drive from South Miami to Palm Beach that’s easily two hours without traffic! That’s why we hold events in different areas to enable as many people as possible to attend. We have events in Boca Raton, Plantation, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Kendall, Palm Beach, basically any area that has a collection of members who are willing to host. Our motto is Am Agile, will travel
Regarding seeding from the community, our most valuable assets are our volunteers, and we empower and support them in holding book clubs, lean coffees, etc.
