I am a lecturer whose principal research and teaching interests concern the relationship between media and development. Most of my research addresses the production, content and reception of Western media coverage of the Global South. I have also conducted research into mediated cosmopolitanism, entertainment-education, media literacy and the role of popular culture in engaging young people in politics
