2. My giraffe
THIS IS A GIRAFFE. IT IS ONE HUNDRED YEARS OLD. IT CAN WALK, EAT
AND RUN. IT CAN’T SWIM. IT LIKES LEAVES, GRASS AND STRAW. IT
DOESN´T LIKE FISH.

3. MISSION POSSIBLE!
LAST WEEK I HAD TO WORK ON A VERY DIFFICULT MISSION! I WAS IN THE STREET AND I
FOUND A PIECE OF PAPER AND IT SAID GO TO PARIS. SO I WENT TO PARIS AND THEN I
REMEMBERED THAT I WAS A SPY. I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF SOME THIEVES. AT NIGHT I WENT
TO SWITCH OFF THE EIFFEL TOWER LIGHTS SO THAT NOBODY SAW ME AND I FOUND A CLUE
THAT SAID GO TO LONDON. I WENT TO LONDON AND I REMEMBERED THAT IT WAS A
RECYCLING MISSION SO I SAID TO PEOPLE TO RECYCLE AND THEN THEY GAVE ME THE THINGS
RECYCLED. I MADE A MACHINE WITH ALL THOSE THINGS AND SAVED THE WORLD. AND THAT IS
MY MISSION OF LAST WEEK.

4. THE TRAGIC TRIP
ONE DAY I WAS IN MY HOUSE. MY DAD SAID, “LET’S GO ON MY BOAT.” I SAID, “CAN I INVITE TIARA AND SOFI?” “YES” ,
SAID MY MOM AND DAD. “SO CAN I INVITE FRAN AND BAUTI?”, MY LITTLE BROTHER VITO SAID. “YES”, SAID MY MOM
AND DAD.
I CALLED TIARA . TIARA’S MUM SAID IT WAS PERFECT. SO I CALLED SOFI. SOFI’S MOTHER SAID IT WAS PERFECT. THEN
MOM CALLED FRAN’S AND BAUTI’S MOMS. THEY SAID IT WAS PERFECT. SO TIARA, SOFI, FRAN AND BAUTI CAME. “GO TO
THE CAR”, DAD SAID. WHEN WE WERE IN SAN FERNANDO WE WENT INTO THE BOAT. AND WE SAILED TO SAN ANTONIO.
THE BOAT BROKE DOWN. VITO, FRAN AND BAUTI WENT SWIMMING WITH MY DAD. AND TIARA, SOFI AND I WENT WITH
MY MOM. WE WENT TO AN ISLAND. THE ISLAND WAS VERY BIG. ON DAY 1 WE WENT TO WALK AND THEN WE ATE MEAT
AND WE DRANK COCONUT MILK. THEN WE WENT TO SLEEP. ON DAY 2 WE MADE A HOUSE WITH BAMBOO AND WOOD.
WE ATE BANANAS AND DRANK WATER. THEN WE WENT TO SLEEP.ON DAY 3 WE MADE CLOTHES WITH LEAVES AND WE
SAW CONSTELLATIONS. IT WAS AMAZING. ON DAY 4 WE SAW A LOT OF ANIMALS SUCH AS MONKEYS, BIRDS, TIGERS AND
DUCKS. IT WAS FANTASTIC. ON DAY 5 WE WENT TO PLAY IN THE TREES AND WE PLAYED BOWLING WITH A COCONUT
AND WITH BAMBOO. ON DAY 6 IN THE MORNING WE SAW A BOAT “THE POLICE IS HERE” TIARA SAID. “YEEEEEES!!!” SOFI
SAID. “NOW IT’S THE TIME MY FRIENDS,” I SAID. “ARE WE GOING WITH THE POLICE?”, TIARA SAID. “WE HAVE TO TELL
MUM AND DAD”, I SAID. “THAT’S RIGHT,” SOFI SAID. “MOM AND DADA, HERE IS THE POLICE!” “YOU ARE SAFE NOW,” THE
POLICE SAID. SO WE WENT TO THE BOAT AND WENT BACK HOME. WHAT A TRIP!

5. The envelope
It was Saturday. I woke up at ten o’clock. I was going to the toilet when …..RING! It was the bell,
I opened the door and I saw an envelope on the floor. I took it, went inside and opened it. It
was a map! In the map there was a drawing of the Empire State. I went to the Empire State
and started to walk. The map said: “You have to walk ten steps to the right and twenty to the
left.” When I walked what the map said I saw a park. I looked carefully and found a yellow
apple. I picked it up and a man took it from me and ran away. I ran after him and took the apple
back. I ate it and magically a helicopter landed on the grass. I got on the helicopter and I saw
that the pilot was my dad. “Hi”, I said. He didn’t answer. The helicopter landed again. I saw my
house, I walked in and ….SURPRISE! Everything had been done to distract me and organize a
surprise party for me.

6. An amazing story
It was a sunny day in California in 2007. I was with John, my brother, and something incredible
happened. I was surfing in the sea when suddenly we saw a whale. It was brown so I went to
the shore. I brought a brush and I went back with the whale. I was very worried because when I
started to brush the whale the brown color didn’t go away. I took a picture because it was very
strange and I took it to some scientists.
Two days later the scientists said that the whale would be ok again if I searched for a plant
called “genix”. I asked them where to find it. They told me that I could find it under California’s
sea. I was a diving expert so I went to the sea. I searched for two hours and I found it. I went
with the whale and washed it. It turned blue again. I was so happy. I will never forget it.

7. A bright sunny day
The weather forecast said it was going to be a bright sunny day. Because of the weather William and Mary
came to my house to go to the park. But we couldn’t. We were at home, the sky was completely dark with
black clouds. The temperature was very cold…We were scared and there electricity was cut off. I went to
take a nap to my room. Oh! No! Please, no! There was somebody in my bed and it wasn’t William or Mary. I
shouted for help, but nobody came except for the girl that was in my bed.
She was pale, with dark and long hair. She was tall and wore a white tunic. I couldn’t see her face but I
could see the scars in her hands because she was holding me! I shouted desperate but she told me with a
hard voice: “Shhhhhhh! Silence. Don’t shout or I’ll kill you. Someone could hear us.” She pushed me to a big
closet that wasn’t in my room. She told me that I was so nice to all the people that she wanted to kill me. I
started to cry. Suddenly I felt a thing that went through my stomach and I saw blood running down my leg.
Now, I am writing this letter for all the people to see that if they see a girl in their bed it is not what it
seems.

8. Uninvited
One beautiful sunny day last week I was at home, just relaxing in my garden. I knew that spring was on its
way, and I felt like planting some flowers. I started digging the hole. It was hard work but I felt happy and
optimistic. Suddenly, even though I was hot and the sun was burning down on my back I felt the air around
me go cold. I felt a chill down my spine. It grew completely quiet. Even the birds stopped singing. I stood
there knowing with a feeling of dread that I was not alone…
Now, the same cold air that minutes before was behind my back turned into a strong twister that began to
spin around me. I felt how all my bones started to get weaker until they broke in millions of pieces and
spread over my empty body.
Then, an extremely strong force pushed me from the ground to the sky and later to space, leaving the Earth
far away from me. I never felt so confused in my life. Suddenly, when my mind started taking back control I
realized I had reached an unknown town. I could see pictures of me with a red cross on my face.
The mysterious visitor that had appeared in my garden had taken my place in my planet and I was not
invited to his.
