1. Preliminary Evaluation
My preliminarytaskwentwell inthe endafteraslightlytrickystart,Iinitiallyfilmeditathome asthe
settingandcostume wasa lotbetterhoweverbecauseof incorrectsettingsonmyhome computerI
lostall of that footage.ThereforeIhadto re filmitat school thisdidsadlymeanitwas rushedsothe
settingandcostume waswhateverIcouldgeton the day and so itdidn’tcome out as goodas it did
the firsttime or as goodas I wanteditto.Keepingthe 180 degree rule wasquite simple asitis a very
obviousrule sothatwas fine tostickto. The matchon actionwas toughas whenhe came through
the door he openeditina way that he onlypusheditopenthenjustleftitto close;thismeantthat
there wasverylittle to match togetherforthe match onaction.Howeverwithhow the restof the
scriptplayedoutthere were a fewmore opportunitiestogetbettermatchonaction.The shot
reverse shotwaseasyto filmasI filmedthe whole thingformone angle thenagainfromthe other
side whichmeantall Ihad to do waschoose whenI wantedtosee eachperson’sface while editing.
There wasone pointinitwhere Liam(the one whodeliveredthe suitcase)openedthe suitcase in
one way onthe overthe shouldershopthendifferentlyonthe close upso I hadto do the bestI
couldwheneditingbutitisquite clearthathis handsjustsuddenlymove. Aftermyvideobeing
showedinclassI got feedbackaboutthe openingof itwhere itcutsfromshotto black back to shot,
thiswas done because withthe clipsalone myvideowasn’tquite longenough,theysaidthatinstead
of havingthe blacksectionssilentaddinsoundbecause withoutitmakesitseemmore jumpyand
makesitmore obviousthatthe viewersare watchingafilm. Overallitdidgowell,it’sannoyingasI’ll
alwayshave inthe back of mymindwhat It couldhave lookedlikebutIam happythe finished
productthat I’ve managedto create.
