Zoology

Zoology
 Zoology is a job that lets you work with
animals to help them in any way.
 Zoology also lets you study animals and
their behaviors instead of field work.
 I picked this job because I love animals
and would do anything to them.
Nature of The Work
 Being the scientist in the lab that sits and do
tests, don’t really have like daily tasks
because they could be dealing with a new
animal every day and that is the same with
the field workers.
 Zoologists are responsible for observing and
working with animals in captivity and in their
natural habitat. These types of biological
scientists study various types of animals and
learn about their behavior, habits and
communication with other animals and the
environment.
The Working Conditions
 The working condition all depends on
where you want to work.
 The way they do stuff is different from
being in the Atlantic ocean or even in
Africa.
 There are also scientists that stay in the lab
to study the animals and take samples
and such, its like a check up at the
doctors.
 I would want to do the field work so I can
interact with the animals.
The Training and
Advancement
 For you to be able to do field as a
zoologist, you must have a Bachelor's
Degree.
 Master's and doctoral degrees offer more
career and promotional opportunities.
Job Outlook/ Employment
 I know for a fact that there isn’t a lot of
jobs that are open because every body
wants to become a Zoologist.
 There are about 100 jobs open a year in
the U.S. so I need to get that job.
Earnings/Salary
 You can get about $57,000 a year
 If you have a mater’s or a doctorates
degree, then you can get some more
money.
Uses of Technology in Career
 Computer, microscopes, and X-ray
machine. These all are all used in their
careers because of how they are used to
help and research the animals to study
them.
 There probably are a lot bigger machines
but these are mainly what they use to
help the animal.
Summary
This job is always the job that I want to do in my
future and no other job would able to top this
job. Its just the rush when you et to see the
animals up close and you get to interact with
them and stuff.
