10 Cloverfield Lane is not a sequel to Cloverfield but shares the same universe. The film follows a suspenseful thriller plot where a woman is held in an underground bunker by a man who claims there was a chemical attack above ground. Featuring strong performances from John Goodman, Mary Winstead and John Gallagher Jr., the film is an extremely suspenseful movie through its use of the thriller genre and talented cast.

Cloverfield is not a sequel or has much reference to the
first movie whatsoever, the use of the word in the title is
almost a marketing technique for the movie although
there was references riddled within the movie as to why
the two films are connected and are in the same
universe. The movie takes the route of a suspense
thriller throughout with the great use of actors such as;
John Goodman, Mary Winstead and John Gallagher
which all contribute to making an extremely
suspenseful movie.
