 Resume Writing and Mock Interviews (career specific)
 Work Experience – Career Choice
 Shape Your Destiny Seminar (Passions, Talents, Ideals)
 “I learnt that you must chase your dreams. Put 100% into
what you are trying to achieve. If you don’t like your
job, then find your passion!”
 “I gained an idea about my future and learnt a lot about talents
and passions and all this good stuff.”
 Trip to Uni Expo - Careers and Course Investigation
 Industry Representatives and Subject Talks
 Tertiary Prerequisite and Subject Investigation
 Participate in the Year 10 Curriculum Information Evening -

3. Step 2 - Year 10 Students and Families
then:
 Students: complete a Draft Online Set Plan
 Parents use PTO system to arrange an interview

 23 and 24 August - Families participate in a 30
minute one-on-one interview with a Siena Catholic
College SET Planner to select final subjects (Bill
Kelly, Maree Cansick, Peter Cook, Sue
O’Connor, Paul Ford, Chuck Forzatti and
Kathryn Willshire)
 FOLDERS: LUI Number Tertiary Prerequisite
Booklet, Senior Curriculum Handbook, Year 9 and
10 results, Senior Contract.

4.  Step 3 – Confirm Subject Selections
 Students are informed of their preliminary
selections from the SET plan interviews
 Negotiations are conducted where there are
subject clashes
 Families reflect on selections and further
counselling is available if required with students’
SET Planner
