•Makrothumia is the ability to endure

to revenge.

“endurance”: constancy,
perseverance, continuance, bearing

used interchangeably.

being agreeable.
•Kindness is acting for the good of
people regardless of what they do.

which meant to be friendly to others.
•Synonyms for kindness are:
compassionate, considerate,
sympathetic, humane or gentle.

• Popular English Bibles translate the single

kindness and goodness.

•The Greek word used in Galatians
5:23 is “egkrateia”, which means
having command or “mastery over”
one’s own behavior.
