2. Step 1
Gather all your materials:
• Yarn
• Needles
• Scissors
• Crochet hook
Note: It is faster to knit with thicker yarn and larger
needles for your first time. Also the yarn always has a
note on what size needles you will need.
3. Step 2
Cast on:
You will need to cast on 10 stitches with your first color.
Remember this is with thicker yarn. If you use thinner yarn you
will have to cast on more stitches.
4. Step 3
Knitting:
Knit 12 rows of the first color. If you choose not to switch
colors you can just keep going with the first one.
5. Step 4
Cut the yarn after the 12 th row leaving about 6 inches of the
first color.
Note: Again if you choice not to have a second color just
keep knitting.
6. Step 5
Start Knitting with the new color:
Once the scarf is finished you will go back and weave in the
extra pieces of yarn.
7. Step 6
Knit 12 rows with this new yarn. You can now switch back to
the first color or add a new color.
8. Step 7
Cast off:
Once the scarf has reached a desired length it is time to cast off
your stitches.
