SEXUAL ASSAULT SURVEY AVAILABLE
ALNAV 070/13 announced the 2013 Department of the Navy Sexual Assault Survey. The survey is 100
percent anonymous and is optional, but highly encouraged for all commands to participate in. It can be
accessed at www.donsapro.navy.mil/donsas.html. The survey opened 15 October 2013, and will be available
through 6 January 2014. The password for all participants is “2013 Survey”. Again the survey is optional;
however, it is highly encouraged that you ensure maximum participation. This survey is used to tabulate
statistics and help assess the effectiveness of SAPR training efforts and shape future training requirements.
TRAVEL AUTHORITY RESTORATION
NAVADMIN 273/13 restores travel authority procedures and approvals to the same levels that were in place
on 30 September 2013. Commands must still adhere to the travel restrictions put in place by the
Sequestration. The Continuing Resolution only covers appropriations until 15 January 2014. In the event of
another Government Shutdown, commands will receive guidance and procedures that will direct how to
proceed.
SRB UPDATE
SRB request with reenlistment dates of 20 October 2013 to 4 November 2013 have been approved and the
Naval Message sent to the requesting UIC. We will continue to approve new SRB request via Naval Message.
If your reenlistment date is 20 October 2013 to 4 November 2013 and you have not received the Naval
Message you should contact the SRB Help Desk to determine the status of your SRB requests. Additionally
you and your PSD can see the approval on the I51 screen of the OPINS system. For those members that
reenlisted 1 October 2013 to 19 October 2013, approved Naval Messages and payment will be made as
funding is available. A separate e-mail will be sent to discuss the steps to get member paid who may have
reenlisted 1 October 2013 to 19 October 2013. During the shutdown period, NC/CCC was requested to either
move their SRB request into November or gain SRB approval via e-mail. Members with e-mail approval will
be paid first before other members who may have reenlisted in October without SRB approval. There are
numerous members that had SRB requests in October that were neither approved nor moved into November
as requested. You are still required to move these request into November (Now 22 November 2013 or later,
unless a more limiting date is required). If you had a member that reenlisted in October without SRB
approval, you should contact the SRB Help Desk to discuss the situation and get the member paid.
