The Shutesbury Education Study Committee was created in March 2010 as a joint committee of the Select Board and School Committee. It has 9 members representing the community and its interests. The committee's charge is to identify current and future goals for education in Shutesbury regarding quality of education, financing, governance, and leadership. It will recommend a plan to best achieve these future goals. The committee has evaluated various standalone, regional, and union models for Shutesbury's educational system. It continues to consider regional and union configuration scenarios and will make a recommendation. The committee provides updates on its work through its website and announcements.
