2. STORYLINE It has been over a year since Eddie “trash” and his friends had found out about their hidden talents… Torchie can set things on fire, Trash can move things with his mind, Lucky finds lost objects, Flinch can predict the future, Cheater can read minds, and Martin can see into people’s souls… They just want normal lives, unfortunately, that’s not going to happen…
3. STORYLINE When Trash accidentally tests his powers at a bank, stealing a fistful of cash, he is kidnapped by the leader of a dark company. Cheater, Lucky, Flinch, Torchie, and Martin team up to save him, and discover their true talents in the process.
4. CHARACTERS You don’t have to read the first book Hidden Talents to know that Trash, Cheater, Lucky, Martin, Flinch, and Torchie have supernatural powers. Unfortunately, Bowler, the leader of a nasty group, want’s to take hold of these powers and take advantage of them for his own horrible purpose. What he doesn’t know is that they also have true talents, which help them along the way…
5. MY OPINION I read this book without reading the first one, hidden talents. But that didn’t matter, because it was a great page-turner. This is probably because it seemed so real, but you know that it isn’t, funny at times, but also serious. So serious in fact, that it involves death. But I really think that added to the whole drama aspect of the book.
6. MY OPINION Also, the characters seemed so life-like, like they actually had feelings, hobbies, different personalities, and many other things that all real-life people have. Also, the situations that they were in, they seemed so normal. It makes me wonder if they were actually based on real people…
7. MY OPINION I mostly liked this book because of it’s variety of emotions that I, the reader, felt when I read each page. There would be a page that would make you laugh, then the next would be very suspenseful. I found the ending VERY satisfying, and I would recommend it for grades 6+, mostly because of it’s language and length.
