2. Ten tips for learning success
• 1.- Objective: The main objective of this project is to give the opportunity to the students to
create their own orchard.
• 2.- Co-operative learning: all the activities are thought to be done in groups. Some of these
activities will be done in groups with different English level.
• 3.- Materials: Other that the play text that the student have been working in class for one
semester. They are going to use other materials to reinforce the text, such as activities
with pictures, seed, …
• 4.- Feedback: the objective of the project is to have more opportunities to use oral English
in the Science, so the treatment of the mistake is going to be always related to improve the
fluency of the students. The feedback is going to be positive and individual depending on
the level of the student.
• 5.- Autonomy: the student will have the autonomy to create the project at their own. They
will have only to follow some instructions about formal rules, but the project is going to be
100% creative.
• 6.- Activities: before the final project. All the activities are short and interesting. Most of the
activities will take not more than ten or fifteen minutes to complete. The activities will have
different shapes: writing, description, vocabulary…
• 8.- Activation Prior Knowledge: As we have been working on this activity during three
hours.
• 9.- Reading strategies: while doing spelling and oral games and reading, the students
improve their reading strategies.
• 10.- Active-learning: the final project is to make their own garden
