PROGRESS UPDATE PLAN FOR NEXT MONTH / WEEK(Including Possible
Contingency Plans If Problems Anticipated)
Mon W/B 25/02/13
(Detailed Weekly Summary)
On 26/02/13 Paige Ward and I went to my house to start filming.
We spent the afternoon filming a variety of different shots. The
cameraman was me when I wasn’t in the shot and Paige was the
director, but when I was in the shot, we swapped roles. Two of the
mains dropped out at the last minute so we have to find two new
mains and it took us about 20/30 minutes to find someone new.
On 27/02/13 Paige and I went to Salford Quays. We filmed the
majority of our music video on this day. We spent the whole day
filming. I was the cameraman and Paige was the director during
the morning / mid-day. Then we swapped roles when I was in the
shot.
On 28/02/13 Paige and I spent the morning filming in a classroom
at Eccles Sixth Form, Paige was the cameraman and Paige shot the
main characters when they were pulling their faces and I shot the
‘5 HOURS EARLIER’ on the whiteboard. Once we finished filming in
the classroom, we went to Salford Quays again with my dad and
Jess. We spent a few hours filming the last scenes we had to do,
Paige was the cameraman and I was the director.
We are planning to upload all the footage next week
and delete some of the footage we don’t like, for
example, scenes where the characters heads are cut off,
if they are looking at the camera or if the picture is
blurry and out of focus. Also we are going to rename all
the footage so we will know which is which when we are
editing it. So this will make it easier for us. If we can get
it done in time then we can start editing.

On 05/02/13 I uploaded the footage to my computer and saved
them to the ‘Q’ and ‘E’ drive then we watched all the footage. We
renamed them to make it easier when we were editing. We also
renamed all the images then put them in their own folder. Once
we had renamed them, we saved the folder to our ‘E’ drive.
On 08/03/13we started to make the music video. To start making a
music video and we have to open a program called Adobe
Premiere Pro to edit and sound. At first Iain showed us how to use
it and then we imported all the videos that we have been filming
for this music video.
We are planning to start editing the footage. We are
going to cut the parts out that we do not need. We have
some footage that is too dark so we will need to make it
lighter but if that doesn’t work, we might need to
reshoot again which will be most likely easier.

(Detailed Weekly Summary)
12/03/13We printed off a script so we knew where to put them
and started editing the footage. Most of it needed to be cut at
some points. Once the footage was added we had to lock the video
and delete the sound off the footage when we filmed it.
15/03/13 We both carried on editing the footage and looked at
which parts could get reshot because we filmed it when it was
dark. We wrote down which partswe need/want to reshoot again
and organised which day we were going to reshoot.
Need to finish off the rough edit of the music video.
Reshoot some shots which are too dark and the scenes
which we think may look better if we used different
angles etc. Upload all the footage and images taken
while shooting and rename them so it’s easier to
understand them when editing the music video. Using
the new footage to finish off the rough edit by changing
the dark parts with the actual new footage we are going
to use.

(Detailed Weekly Summary)
19/03/13 We carried on editing the music video in the morning to
get it finished. In the afternoon we went back to Salford Quays and
reshot the prom scene but this is time was in the daytime and
some other scenes. I was the director and Paige was the
cameraman but Michael was supposed to be the cameraman. We
asked him to meet us there but he never turned up so we carried
on with what we had to do. We also took some of the images of
the scenes while we were filming it.
21/03/13 Some other scenes needed to be reshot and we needed
to do it again from the part when the whiteboard says, ‘5 Hours
Earlier’. We also took the images while we were shooting this part.
I was the director and Paige was the cameraman.
22/03/13 We added all the footage from reshooting two parts and
renamed them so we will know which is which and also we carried
on editing the music video but didn’t get chance to finish the rough
edit.
I still need to finish the rough edit of the music video
and add new footage of what we reshot in Salford
Quays. Also I need to see if it goes well with what I
already started when editing the music video. If notI can
always go back to Salford Quays.

(Detailed Weekly Summary)
16/04/13 I carried on editing the rough edit music video and I
finished it in the morning so I rendered it out and uploaded them
onto YouTube. In the afternoon, I looked back to see how I could
improve it and what I needed to change it to make it look better.
So I wrote an evaluation about the rough edit music video then I
read my rough edit evaluation and started to edit the final edit
music video.
20/04/13 I carried on editing the final edit music video but left
some spaces for the video footage which we need to reshoot so it
will have to wait till next week. Also we reshot the whiteboard of ‘5
Hours Earlier’ and we uploaded it and renamed it.
In the afternoon, I will start doing the final edit of the
music video and will start changing what I wrote on the
evaluation of my rough edit. I am going to think about
how I want to edit it once I finished it. I need to reshoot
some scenes I needed for the final edit music video so I
will start to reshoot them next week and hopefully
reshoot it all before 26/04/13.
We need to reshoot some of the parts which are my
friend and I sneaking out, the window part and the
singing part. Then we will upload them on the
computer. Then I will render the final edit and upload
them on YouTube. Put them on the blogger and write an
evaluation about the final edit music video.
Mon W/B 22/04/13
(Detailed Weekly Summary)
22/04/13 Paige and I went back to my house to reshoot the
sneaking scene but this time we put an extra character in to sneak
out with. On this day we filmed the girls getting ready, sneaking
out of the house, running towards their boyfriends and the
window part.
23/04/13 I am going to upload all of the new footage and rename
them so we know which is which. Then import them on the
software. When we have done that, I will add on the missing
spaces onto my final edit and make sure it looks good and make
sense.
24/04/13 My boyfriend and I went back to Salford Quays for
reshooting the singing part and some of the buildings. So we had
finished all the reshooting and will need to upload them on the
computer next lesson.
26/04/13 I uploaded the new footage which I did on the
Wednesday and renamed them. Once I had done that, I put them

place and look good. I watched the final edit music video and I will
have to make sure that I have finished it all, so I rendered it and
uploaded them on YouTube. I started to do the final edit
evaluation whilst watching the music video making sure that I had
completed it. Finally I uploaded all the work I had done onto the
blogger so Iain can go through them.
