In April we have grown in numbers with new BAs joining the RE/MAX family. I wish
them all the best for the association with RE/MAX.
This newsletter contains lot of exciting news and events we did in the month of
April. List is long but to name a few 5thh RRR update, technology updates with some
statistical data.
As the biggest elections in the world are taking place in India and along with us
whole world is eagerly waiting to see who forms new and stable government at
the center which will decide fate of lot of industries along with Real Estate and its
ancillary business. Let’s hope for the bet, let’s hope for the growth of India.

attending it and making it a big success. We specially thank all the associates of RE/MAX MGM for attending in highest
numbers.
The event took off on a patriotic mode with Indian national Anthem and lamp lighting by Chip Brekkan, Sam Chopra, Ms.
Saloni Chopra, Jeff Scislow, Manan Choksi, Ms. Bhumi Choksi, Aashil Patel and Ms. Saloni Patel.
The Venue Hotel Marriot was quite good and all the affiliates liked it along with the flow of conference throughout with
discussions,
lectures, health and motivational speeches.
All the affiliates were taken to VISHALA , a Gujarati Village Restaurant famous across world for
its unique style of seating and eating arrangements.

Two leading real estate entrepreneurs are the new owners of the RE/MAX master franchise in South
Korea, as the country becomes the newest addition to the RE/MAX global network.
HeuiSeong Shin and his long-time business partner,Yun Seok Choi, have extensive real estate
experience in South Korea and an aggressive plan for growth. The new venture increases the significant
RE/MAX presence in Asia, further solidifying the largest global reach of all U.S. real estate franchises.

Ahmedabad’s real estate market is on an upswing because of to
the huge growth of its industrial sector and the overall high rate
of development, both in commercial and residential terms. It is the
largest city of Gujarat, and also its commercial capital. It is the hub of
the textile, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. Apart from being
a well-established education centre (with national institutes like IIM,
NID and CEPT) Ahmedabad has also established itself as a major IT/
ITeS and retail destination. The combination of the favourable factors
naturally makes it a highly desirable residential destination.
Ahmedabad’s real estate market has grown tremendously over the
past decade thanks to ultra-progressive policies and intelligent
development governance. The city is providing extraordinary and
unprecedented returns on the real estate front, and is one of the
most exciting investment destinations in India today. Developers
and investors from all over the country are beating a straight path to
Ahmedabad.
Office space investments have shown amazing growth, with capital
values for commercial properties rising by as much as 20-30 per cent
inareassuchasPrahladnagar,Sarkhej-Gandhinagar.Highway,Ashram
Road and some parts of East Ahmedabad. Residential property
appreciation in the city has been to the tune of 50 per cent over the
last three years.The areas currently commanding the highest demand

Ahmedabad: Naroda’s journey to hot property destination
The growth of Gujarat’s as well as Ahmedabad’s property market
is very impressive and the segment is likely to prosper even in the
near future. Many new areas are being developed in the city and
the earlier ones are given new shape. Particularly, if you want to see
how a neglected industrial area can be transformed into a property
paradise, then visit Naroda, a suburban town in Bapunagar, north
east of Ahmedabad. It initially flourished with the establishment of
the Naroda Industrial

along the special transit-oriented development (TOD) zone, central
business district (CBD) on Ashram Road and the special affodable

Proposed regulation, pending reforms, to bring growth
With the upcoming general elections in May this year, the country’s

on some of the pending bills that will bring some policy framework
to the country. There are a number of key draft legislations pending
before the parliament. Industry estimates suggest that more than
120 bills are pending to be passed by the parliament.
Gandhinagar: Residential realty on the rise
GandhinagarislocatedonthewestbankofSabarmatiriver.Previously
seen as an administrative city, Gandhinagar has already developed
as a trade capital of the state and now the residential realty is also
growing at a fast pace in the region.
Around 52,000 hotel rooms to be added in top cities by 2017
A Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) report states that the hospitality
sector will see a rise of over 65 per cent in total hotel inventory by
2017. Approximately, 52,000 new hotel rooms are expected to come
into existence in the next five years (2013-2017). Despite a slow

witnessedalotofresidentialbungalowandfarmhousedevelopments
in the recent years.
There will be a consistent 10-15 per cent growth in property rates
across all sectors in Ahmedabad. The exact rate in certain locations
will depend on the incidence of market drivers there.
Apart from Ahmedabad, Surat and Vadodara also rank high in the
state’s real estate sweepstakes. As Gujarat’s second largest city,
Surat is all set to become an international diamond trading hub. It is
located on the Golden Quadrilateral highway and is well connected to
Mumbai and Delhi.

Expressway to facilitate real estate growth
To say that expressways are lifeline of urban centres would be like
stating the obvious.The expressways across the country have been a
connecting point of the main city with the periphery locations, thus,
ensuring that satellite cities are sustainable for the working class
who otherwise cannot afford to buy a house in the main city. In the
process, expressways also act as catalyst in providing a boost to the
economy of the region.
New Maninagar: On a realty growth path in Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad’s Real Estate market is on an upswing because of the
huge growth of its industrial sector and the overall high rate of
development, both in commercial and residential terms. Particularly,
due to the industrial growth in the city, many new residential areas
are being developed near the industrial areas and new Maningar is
one among them.
RE/MAX Agents Lead Competitors
RE/MAX agents continue to outperform all competitors,
ranking as the most productive among the elite national real
estate franchises. According to preliminary results from the
2014 RISMedia Power Broker Report Top 500, the productivity
of RE/MAX agents was more than double the average of agents
at competing brokerages. RE/MAX agents on average not only
closed more transaction sides, but also claimed a sales volume
69% higher than the average of all competing agents in the
Report.
“There are some real estate companies with more offices and
agents in the Power Broker Report,”said RE/MAX CEO Margaret
Kelly. “But the real test for any homebuyer or seller is whether
their agent gets the job done. And, year after year, the numbers
show that RE/MAX agents are the most productive among the
national brands.”
According to the Report, in 2013, RE/MAX agents averaged
$4.3 million in sales volume - a 26% increase over 2012, while
competing agents averaged just $2.5 million. RE/MAX agents
also averaged 17.5 transaction sides each - an increase of 4.3%
over their 2012 performance. The average for all other agents
