Mike
Mike Lathigee is a charismatic leader who has built a string of companies. In University he built his
first major company importing container loads of appliances from Daewoo Corporation in Korea and
renting them to university students. Since then he was Co Founder of Bargain Castle Outlet Centers
and over the last decade has built the largest investment club ever in Canada with over 5000 members
and well over 100 million dollars in assets.
He has held several Board positions on publicly traded companies and was the former head of the
Board of the hugely successful-1-800-Got-Junk Rubbish Removal
Company from 2003-05.
Michael is also the Chairman and Founder of United Animal
Resource Foundation which focuses on animal rescues and the
humane treatment of animals.
Michael is an ever tirelessly ‘student’ of economics and has taught
hundreds of thousands in his area of passion. He takes complicated
world economic subject matters and breaks them down so that
everyone can understand and get value whether one has a Ph.D. in
Economics or a novice investor.
In 2008 out of hundreds of applications Michael was a nominated
finalist for the covenant award of CEO of the Year presented by
Caldwell Partners. He has made and continues to make
numerous TV and media appearances.
More recently Michael co founded The Children’s Foundation of Costa Rica which focuses on
improving the lives of orphans in Costa Rica.
Currently Mr Lathigee is a partner of Leopard Seven Oil Company and VP of Economic and
Business Development for Black Sands Energy which are oil producing
companies located in Humble, Texas.
