What do we do? We help our clients become better communicators for all media opportunities. We find out our clients' needs, create a specific series of videotaped exercises and simulated TV/media interview situations and then practice with you until you are comfortable with your performance. What is your approach to Media Training? Our approach is to treat each person based on his or her needs and their business environment, and not use some ready-made format workshop. (We ask that all clients fill out a needs assessment beforehand to help us better prepare for the training session.) Every training session is unique to the person or persons trained. The one constant in every training session is that the client spends a great deal of time in front of the camera being recorded during interview situations, and then watching the performances on instant playback with critiques.

A storage array consists of a large number of disk drives together with a storage controller. Many servers can be connected to a storage array, which allows any of the disk drives to be used by any server. Data is read from the disk and written to the disk with a read/write heads (Figure 1). The disk spins at between 7,200rpm and 15,000rpm. The heads are moved across the recording surface of the disk to different tracks where the data is stored.

About the Guide: Anyone who listens to the Today programme or watches Newsnight, and has heard respected and articulate business leaders and politicians being grilled by the likes of John Humphrys or Jeremy Paxman, could be forgiven for feeling uneasy about being interviewed by a journalist. Successful media interviews, and positive media coverage, are not a matter of luck. Good preparation can make the difference between a confident, informed and articulate media performance, which presents your company in the best light, makes a good impression on the journalist and results in some sparkling copy or air-time – or a hesitant, tentative and ill-informed approach where the journalist fails to get the material they need and coverage is either negative or non-existent. If you’re going to spend time and money marketing your organisation, it will pay dividends to prepare in advance what you plan to say and how you deal with the press – especially in a crisis. About the Author: Magenta's guide to dealing with the media was written by Magenta's MD Cathy Hayward. Previously, Cathy launched and edited FM World magazine for seven years before setting up Magenta, the communications consultancy for the built environment. She also edited FMJ magazine for more than a year. This article aims to demonstrate that the Lula government is faced with two major challenges in its effort to promote Brazil's economic and social development. The first challenge, of an economic nature, is represented by the obstacles that exist with the spending cap policy, despite the flexibility provided by the fiscal framework and the existence of an independent Central Bank, which make the Brazilian government unable to coordinate its fiscal and monetary policies, make public investments in the expansion of the economy and obtain macroeconomic stability and, the second challenge, of a political nature, is represented by the obstacles existing in the National Congress due to the fact that it does not have a majority in parliament, which prevents the federal government from putting its national developmental project into practice and fully meet social demands. For Brazil's progressive forces to re-elect President Lula in the 2026 presidential elections and obtain a parliamentary majority in the National Congress committed to political, economic and social advances, the Lula government will have to be successful on the economic front, promoting the expansion of the economy, increasing significantly generating jobs and income, keeping inflation under control and meeting the maximum social demands that benefit, above all, the country's underserved populations. Brazil's progressive forces need to commit, starting from the 2024 municipal elections, towards to elect the maximum number of mayors and councilors committed to Brazil's political, economic and social advances. These are the conditions to prevent, in 2026, right-wing extremists from regaining the Presidency of the Republic, expanding their participation in state governments and the National Congress and putting their nefarious anti-social and anti-national project into practice.
