Teacher Mike Cook will lead a two day Xbox gaming lesson for grades 3rd through 5th. Students will be split into groups and rotate between 6 gaming stations, spending 10 minutes at each station. 5 Minutes (8 Minutes) Stretching The class will have a group
stretch before the gaming
directions are given.
4 Minutes (12 Minutes) Station Explanations The teacher will now explain
how the Xbox machine reads
players. He then shows the
score sheet and makes the
students realize that they will
play for two days with the same
partner. They are then given a
scoring sheet on a clip board that
they will fill out. Once each
group plays the game at least
two times, they can then add up
their team score. Certain overall
scores will result in prizes like
stickers and other items.

to knock out as many
blocks as possible

30 Minutes ( 42 Minutes) Jump Stations The groups will play in all 6 of
the stations. Each team will get
ten minutes a station, which is
why this lesson takes two days.
They will record their score so
they know where the need to
start on day two.
3 Minutes (45 Minutes) Closure The teacher will ask two exit
questions and let the class get a
drink.
