4.  This is the MAIN debating competition for the
year, and one of the largest debating
competitions in the world. Everyone is
encouraged to join.
 Open to all students in years 9 to 12,
regardless of experience.
 The best choice for new, intermediate and
experienced debaters alike.
 If you sign up, you need to commit to the
entire season.

5.  Five rounds in terms 1 to 3:
1) Wednesday 25 March
2) Wednesday 29 April
3) Wednesday 20 May
4) Wednesday 17 June
5) Wednesday 29 July
 Years 9 and 12 debate at 7pm.
 Years 10 and 11 debate at 8pm.
 All Brighton Region debates are at Brighton Grammar
School.
 The top team(s) from the Brighton region will be
invited to participate in the State Finals.
 Don’t worry about drama/music clashes – it’s sorted!

6.  We will give you whatever help we can!
 Training sessions will be held on Tuesday
Lunchtimes in MS 3.0.
 Training is not compulsory but is highly
recommended.
 A weekly schedule will be published soon.
 Each team will be given a coach who will assist
them throughout the season and will give you
feedback at debates.
