Sleeping sickness is caused by two protozoa:
Trypanosoma brucei rhodesiense
Trypanosomoa brucei gambiense.
3. Which is the vector?
Tse Tse fly carry the infection.
When an infected Tse Tse fly
bites you, the infection spreads
through your blood.
And then your brain swells.
5. -Treatment
There are some medicines to treat this sickness.
Pentamidine injections protect against Trypanosoma brucei
gambiense.
But not against Trypanosomoa brucei rhodesiense, because
this medicine is toxic, using it for prevention is not
recommended.
