1. Throughout the process of making my
magazine and blog I used all different sorts of
technology. Whilst using all of the wide
ranges of technology I learnt new skills as
well as developing old ones. I have learnt to
use a range of different types of programs to
improve upon my media.
2. I used Blogger for documenting everything that I did in
the process of making my front cover, content page and
double page spread. Before beginning my media
coursework I had never used this program before and it
was all new to me. Coming to the end of my
coursework blogger has been the most effective way
for me to document the work I have done. Through
using Blogger I have learned how to effectively
blog, link posts, change dates of posts, edit posts, link a
Prezi or Slideshare.
3. Print screens of Blogger
This is the
blogger
page. This is where
you write
your blog
posts.
This is what
my blog
looks like
when
viewed.
4. I used Photoshop to create my front cover and
content page. I also used it to edit images, add
text etc.. When first beginning using Photoshop I
struggled to grasp it but now I am able to do all
the thinks I need and completely understand
everything. I have learnt effectively and easily
how to edit images in Photoshop and I think this
has made my magazine look so much better
because of the professional looking images off
the editing I did.
6. I used Microsoft Publisher to create my double
page spread. The reason I chose to use this
software to make my double page spread instead
of Photoshop is because the software allowed me
to follow a template of a double page layout. This
was the easiest software I used as it was
something I was already used to using and this is
why I think my double page spread turned out so
well. Even though the spread was made in
Publisher rather than Photoshop I think the
finished turnout still looked very professional and
did not look armature which I was happy about.
7. I used Slideshare to share PowerPoint
presentations onto my blog. I used Slideshare
because when there was a large post I was
developing and a lot of images were involved by
using Slideshare it allowed me to use all the
images I needed and make it look neat. By using
Slideshare it also allowed me to present some of
my ICT skills on my blog.
8. Print screens from Slideshare
This is the slideshare homepage.
In this Screenprint I am uploading a
PowerPoint to Slidshare.
9. I used the website dafont.com to download particular
fonts I liked that I would be able to use in my
coursework that are not available in other software's.
The unique fonts I looked at were all very good in terms
of finding a signature one I liked and wanted to use for
my masthead. Before beginning my work I never knew
about this font and have learnt lots about how it
worked. I found it easy to navigate.
This is an image of the font I
downloaded of Dafont.com and used
for my masthead.
10. I used Prezi to again like for Slideshare display
information on my blog in different types of ICT. Prezi
displayed my work neatly through the use of interactive
mind maps. The Prezi’s were easy to develop and to put
onto my blog. This made everything quick and easy and
never once did I have a problem with it. I had never used
Prezi before beginning my media coursework so had no
understanding of what it was but now I do and will be
using it again.
This is the front opening page of Prezi.
On the image you can already see the
existing Prezi I have made.
11. Throughout the development of my coursework
and blog I used the internet for a lot of different
reasons. It helped me a lot when it came to
researching magazines, images, music
websites, logging onto Blogger, Prezi, Dafont and
Slideshare.
12. On the left are two images of the Nikon
DSLR camera and Nikon D4 video camera I
used in my coursework. They are both high
end professional equipment which I was
able to use. I used the camera for images
that occurred in my blog and magazine and
I used the video camera for videoing my
target audience. Both equipment worked
very well when I used them and allowed
me to make my coursework look as
professional as it could. There was never
any problems with both pieces of
equipment and I am very happy with what
turned out form them.
