From Idea to Community The Beginning Immediate Results Founders met at 2009 Transparency Camp Proposed the idea of Gov 2.0 Camp 90 days later 200 people participated from MIT Media labs, GWU, Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, UN, Homeland Security, World Bank, GeoCommons, Sahana, Ushahidi Ignite Session at World Bank – Beginning of Interest in Building VTC Collaboration Capacity June 2009 – CrisisCamp Washington DC November 2009– Google, Yahoo and Microsoft dedicated to work together to form Random Hack of Kindness (RHOK)
5. CrisisCamp Haiti 90 Days - 50 Events, 10 Countries, +2000 volunteers Hundreds of thousands of dollars of volunteer labor New communities emerged Subsequent community response to Chile, Oil Spill, Pakistan Floods
