There is no fool proof way of drinking and staying under the limit or of knowing how much an individual person can drink and still drive safely.
The slogan of this advert mentions “football” and the images of men at the background suggest that the target audience for this advertisement is younger men drivers. Younger drivers intend to drink more and drive as they are less mature.
Although it is mainly targeted for younger men drivers the “THINK!” strategy for drink driving is also to remind all drivers of the personal consequences of drink driving, and that a drink driving conviction can ruin your life.
In my view, I think the poster is not very effective in getting its message through to their audience because although it clearly states “You’re not driving anymore...” there is no other way to tell the reader that the poster is about drink driving. None of the images symbolizes drinking and driving. When the audience first sees the poster, they would have no clue that it’s about drink driving until after they read the text.
15811501244600057150314960001276350-123190“RAPES”00“RAPES”
The main purpose of this campaign poster is to inform the readers about their website. The NSPCC’s vision is to end cruelty to children in the UK. In the poster, they selected one issue which is “rape” in the hope that readers think this is a serious and cruel issue that will make them go on to the website to find out more and donate money.
The target audience is mainly for older people who have the money to donate. Also, those who care and find child abuse a serious issue that need to be dealt with.
This advert is not effective in getting its message through presentational devices because it looks very crowded and the image does not represent anything as far I could see.
-571504064000The main message of this campaign poster is to warn people about the addictive power of nicotine and encourages smokers to call for help if they are thinking to stop smoking, also seen in the advert as getting “unhooked”.
The target audience is mainly for people who are addicted to smoking including all ages and gender, who need help to stop smoking.
This advert is very effective because the disturbing image grabs the reader’s attention to examine the poster in the first place. The image of the women with a fish hook through her mouth symbolizes a person getting “hooked” to smoking. Another thing that makes the poster effective is that it is simple so the audience will get a straight forward message.
