    Surrealism Expressionism Political Art
    Art is like having an itch you cannot scratch. A craving
that is never fulfilled. It is a way to extend and display
     an idea or an emotion.
     Through the effects of color as in visual arts. Color
can have a huge multiplicity of effects on the psyche.
Also, through inspirations and diversity of the mixed
mediums, art becomes an alternative language and tool
for communicating a message to the world.
    Fine art often has goals beyond pure creativity and self-
expression. The purpose of works of art may be to put
ideas on view; such as in politically-, spiritually-, or
philosophically-motivated art; to create a sense of; to
explore the nature of perception; for pleasure; or to
     generate strong emotions.
    The main inspiration for most of my
artwork is the human body: the majesty
of the naturally, and neatly sculpted
     human body.
     The curves in both the female and male
figures are a work of art themselves; The
fine anatomic division of the human
body is amazingly captivating to paint
     or draw.
    Alongside to the human body, the 1924
art movement of Surrealism has a clear
influence on my art work in the context
     of expressive art.
    Surrealism can be defined as “a cultural
movement and artistic style that was
founded in 1924 by André Breton.
     Surrealism uses visual imagery from the
subconscious mind to create art without
     the intention of logical
     comprehensibility” It is to incorporate
     one’s imagination and start seeing
things from a surrealist vision which
does not necessarily logical or realistic.
     I adapted from this culture and
movement to embody and express a
certain vision or an emotion in a work of
     art.
 This is an example of an art piece
that expresses a certain emotion
through the physical attribute and
composition of the work.
 The sculpture of “Trapped in
Myself” embodies the theme of self
consciousness and insecurity.
  It illustrates the sense of
vulnerability of a female figure.
  The figure is purposely naked to
display the sense wanting to strip
down of all life’s accessories.
 The figure also represent the sense
of pain as the female’s real self come
out.
 The face coming out of the figure’s
chest was meant to expresses sense
of struggle and relief at the same
time.
•  Another way of expression
through art is
communicating a political
message.
•  displaying a certain
political view through art is
an effective form of art that
captivates and might
influence audiences.
•  Political art can bring
about a social and political
change in our society
through the message its
communicating.
Believe that art is a
dynamic human
attribute and form of
expression
Believe that the
Practice of art is a
waste of time

Consider art no more
than a visual image;
not expressive
