Reading and showing comprehension of literary elements

Reflecting on self and others in the virtual world

Students are expected to make comments that...
■ Refer to a specific idea of the post. ‘5’ quality specificity means that direct
quote(s) whenever possible.
■ Connect to the specific idea above by making a text-to-self, text-to-text, or
text-to-world connection.
■ Extend the conversation by asking an open-ended question–that is, a
question that cannot be answered with a one-word answer.
■ Have been proofread for clarity and any grammatical errors.
As long as they’ve thoroughly fulfilled the expectations above, then they can
have some fun with comments, e.g. include acronyms LOL or emoticons :).
