- Now let’s look at what Rockstars are… (touch on each title)
- Why are we here? If not to change the world, improve the industry, improve client services and the learner’s bottom line, what is the value? Every class, even CE is an opportunity to reach these goals. Your words are powerful and they make an impact.
- As we’re connecting to our learners, we are creating minions to represent their clients as you think they should, to spread the word about your talent as an instructor, to pitch the next class, etc…
- Now that you have an audience, you get a chance to put on the show. It’s like Slim Shady says: The moment, you own it, you better never let it go You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow This opportunity comes once in a lifetime, yo You better lose yourself in the music
- Stay focused. Nothing else matters other than you, them and the materials. Don’t rush to get out, don’t be pushed into corners by the learners.
- The success of any rock show is measured by audience involvement, not attendance. We’re going to explore some ways to get them involved. Note that the way I get folks involved or engaged may not be “traditional”.
- Here’s a secret… Students HATE being a group of other learners. Most won’t function well in a small group and most feel it’s a waste of time setup by the instructor to fill space. Instead, include the entire audience, set it up as a problem that you can all crowdsource as we all have a piece of the puzzle. The Educator does not need to be the master of all information. Don’t be intimidated by the learners.
