2. I decorated my cover with a queen of spades,
clubs, hearts, and diamonds because it pretty
much sums up the entire book. There are four
different queens who are all sisters and they are
all fighting to be the main queen of
Wonderland. They all have their own dynasties
and they are the four suits of the cards. This is
why I put the queen of spades, clubs, hearts,
and diamonds cards on my cover.
3. Above are some of the cards that Redd showed up with. Above is the looking glass that Alyss stepped through.
Alyss Heart is at her seventh birthday party when the Queen of
Hearts, Redd shows up with an army of cards. Redd starts
attacking which causes the death of both of her parents and she is
forced to leave Wonderland through a looking glass or she would
die. In the looking glass, she loses her grip with her Millinery
protector, Hatter Madigan and she lives in the real world for
thirteen years.
4. Out popped Alyss through the looking glass This is the puddle that Alyss jumped through
Alyss jumps through the looking glass and she finds herself coming out of a
puddle in a whole new world. She is in the middle of a parade so she has to run
to the side of the road to get out of the way. Her imagination was still working
fine so when she imagined that something was happening, it really happened.
After the parade, she looked for that puddle all day but she had no luck. She
was looking when she ran into a boy named Quigly Gaffer. He takes her back
to his shelter with all the other homeless orphans and takes care of her.
5. This is where the Liddell family adopted Alyss. Here is the flower that Alyss made sing.
While Alyss tells Quigly the story, Quigly thinks of an idea. (He doesn’t believe Alyss though.)
Quigly tells Alyss that she should use her imagination powers to make a flower sing in public to
earn money so she does, everyday.(Everyone including Quigly thinks that it is just a magic trick.) It
made her more and more tired and the flower was singing for less time everyday until eventually
she couldn’t use her imagination powers at all. When this happens Quigly has to steal and one day
it was either Alyss getting caught or him getting caught, he picks Alyss. Alyss is taken to an
orphanage and gets adopted by the Liddell family. Mr. and Mrs. Liddell have two children named
Edith and Lorina. She tells them her story and they don’t believe her so she locks herself in her
room. She starts to believe that it was just her imagination so she tears up all of the pictures she had
made of Wonderland. She stays in her room for days, never coming out. Finally she makes up her
mind that she is going to act normal and she sticks to her mind. The next day, she called Mrs.
Liddell, mother and Mr. Liddell, father. She acted normal for the next thirteen years.
6. This is the concert where Alyss and Prince Leopold met. Here is the ring that Prince Leopold gave Alyss.
One day the Liddell family went to a concert. Mr. Liddell introduced the family
to someone he knew named Prince Leopold. Prince Leopold sat with Alyss and
they talked all through the concert. After the concert, Mrs. Liddell kept saying
“He is a prince and he has taken a fancy in you!” After that, where ever she
went, she found Prince Leopold. One day, Prince Leopold and Alice (everyone
spelled her name wrong as it was A-L-Y-S-S not A-L-I-C-E. When she decided
to forget about Wonderland, that included her name.) went to an orphanage
where Prince Leopold offered to increase the food rations which made Alice
smile. On the way home from the orphanage, Alice found herself sitting on a
bench with Prince Leopold kneeling in front of her. He asked “Will you marry
me?” She accepted for her family's sake.
7. This is what Alyss had to face. Here is one of the mirrors from the maze.
At the masquerade, Alyss danced with many people, including someone that she didn’t
think existed. It was Dodge from Wonderland. At the wedding, when it was Leopold’s
turn to take his vows, Redd’s assistant, the Cat came crashing through the window.
Dodge came to the rescue and took her back to Wonderland. While in Wonderland, she
reunites with all her friends. The reason her friends brought her back was so that she
could save Wonderland from Redd. They go on a dangerous path to see the blue
caterpillar. She talks to the blue catapillar and finds out where the Looking Glass maze
is. She goes on an even more dangerous route to get the key to the Looking Glass maze
and enters it. It was awful! She knew she had to succeed if she wanted to beat Redd
though. There were mirrors everywhere! She had to face many challenges. They kept
getting harder and harder! She thought that they could get no harder but they did!
Finally when Redd was about to kill Alyss, she had succeeded. She went on to face Redd
and she won! She became the queen of Wonderland and everything worked out!
