1. Your heart This part of the power point is all about your heart. I hope that it will tell you what you need to know about the human heart.

2. What is it , what does it look like and where is it located. Your heart is a muscle. It is located a little to the left of the middle of your chest next to your lungs . it is about the size of your fist.

3. How the heart works The heart sends blood through your body which is full of oxygen and nutrients. The right side of your heart receives blood from your body and pumps it to the lungs. Your heart carries waste too. Every day your heart pumps about 8000 gallons (about 30,000 litres) of blood . Before every beat the heart fills with blood, when the heart contracts it pushes the blood through your veins .

5. The beating sound that your heart makes is your valves closing .

6. The valves act like doors of the heart by controlling the blood flow. You can exercise your heart by : stretching going for walks jogging biking skiing skating rowing jumping rope water aerobics . Parts of the heart and what exercise to do.

8. Your lungs are the largest organ in the body . The left lung is smaller then your right lung so that the heartcan fit next to it . Beneath the lungs is the diaphragm. They are so large they take up most of the room in your chest. What are they , what does it look like and where are they located.

10. You can’t see your lungs but you can feel them in action.

11. Each lung contains about 300 million air sacks to pass oxygen into your blood and remove carbon dioxide waste.
