Gold Rush Day is a day where
peoplemuck and pan for gold. To muck
means to shovel ore into a cart. When
you pan for gold you hold a pan in a
running stream. If you are lucky, your
pan might catch some grains of gold.
You can enter contest for all of these
activities. The history behind this day is
that in 1863 Henry Wickenburg
discovered gold in the area. If you
would like to participate you have to
drop by Wickenburg for Gold Rush
Day to participate.
