Social curation involves aggregating, organizing and sharing content created by others to add
context, narrative and meaning to it.

HOW DOES SOCIAL CURATION WORK?
Social curation typically has five steps:
 Collecting content, including original
content, curated content and
crowdsourced content.
 Filtering content, manually or
automatically, based on theme or source,
to create a stream of relevant content.
 Ranking content in this stream of
relevant content, based on social
popularity.
 Presenting the most relevant and most
popular content visually, including
streams, grids and maps.
 Encouraging participation, including
reading, following, voting, sharing,
discussing and contributing.
