1. INTRODUCTION
Our Holy Prophet (S) has said:
"Go for Haj, you will become rich.
The reward for Haj is Paradise and Umra is compensation for every sin.
Haj and Umra both take away poverty and sins just as sandpaper cleans
away the rust from the iron.
It is a kind of Jihad.
One who goes out for Haj or Umra gets a reward and millions of benefits
at every step.
Millions of his sins are forgiven and he is rewarded with millions of high
grades. Any penny or pounds he spends in the way of Allah becomes
stored with God multiplied by thousands.''
HAJ IS A WAJIB ACT WHICH HAS TO BE PERFORMED ONCE IN A
LIFETIME.
THE NIYYAT HAS TO BE SOLELY FOR THE PLEASURE OF ALLAH I.E.
QURBATAN ILALLAH.

2. CONDITIONS
BALIGH AQIL ISTITA-AH
Reaches age of puberty Being sane & sound of mind
Able to afford the expense of Haj
Able to maintain those dependents who have remained at home.
Have enough means to maintain yourself and your dependents on your return.
Journey to Haj must NOT involve any danger.
You must be healthy.
You must have enough time to perform all the Wajib acts of Haj.

5. HAJ-E-TAMATTU

You should have performed Umra-e-Tamattu by now
9th Zilhaj - Morning 9th Zilhaj – Zuhr 9th Zilhaj - Maghrib
Do Niyyat, Wuqoof-e-Arafat: Wuqoof-e-Masharul Haraam –
Wear Ihram Arrived at Arafat by now. Muzdalifah:
& Recite Talbiya Done in Makka Wajib to stay there until Maghrib Wajib to stay there from Dawn to
Sunrise. Collect 70 stones for use
at Mina. Women & the old can
leave for Mina after collecting
pebbles.

At sunrise, depart for Mina. Qurbani [Sacrifice] Taqseer or Halaq
On arrival, 1st Wajib act is to go to After striking the Jamarah, This is the next wajib act
Jamarah of Aqaba & strike it 7 qurbani must be done. The This is the trimming of hair or

Go for Tawaaf of Haj; Salaat of Hit all 3 Jamarahs each with 7 Continue to stay at Mina. Hit all 3
Tawaaf; Saee; Tawafun Nisa & pebbles. Continue to stay at Mina. Jamarahs each with 7 pebbles.
Salaat. Spend the night at Mina Leave Mina after Dhohr and
before sunset. Haj-e-Tamattu and
the Haj are complete
