Before going to The Fair, research the companies and organizations
attending, as well as the positions/programs for which they are
recruiting.
Prioritize your time. Figure out which orgs you would like to contact
first.

Register (RSVP) for The Fair In MyCWS by searching for The Fair
for the current year under CWS Events. The full listing of who’s
attending can be found here.

5. Tip #4:
Don't avoid a company or organization because it is unfamiliar.
After you have visited all the companies and organizations, chat with
representatives from those organizations or companies that interest
you.

6. Tip #5:
Approach the tables and pace your visits to be sure you have ample
time to visit the employers and organizations you want to target.

Greet company representatives with a firm handshake, ask pertinent
questions, and express interest in opportunities at the company, or
organization.

Take a look at the types of organizations you might want to visit in
order to assess how many resumes to bring. Then add a few extra
copies for tables you might stop at if the time permits.

Collect business cards from every representative you visit. Taking
cards is important so that you can contact recruiters after The Fair to
follow-up on next steps.

Is your LinkedIn profile up-to-date? Are your Facebook settings
what you think they are? Make sure that your online presence is
polished and ready to go as you begin to network professionally.

Look for sign-up sheets at the recruiter tables in the event you are
unable to chat with the representative or the representative, for some
reason, is not at their table when you visit.
Write your name and email addressclearly, as the recruiters take
these sheets back to their office to follow-up.
