Compression just means that all or portion of our
hard disk can be made to appear much large than
it actually is. Windows 95 supports two varieties of
disk compression

data on the disk by creating a hidden host drive that contains
the compressed data, called a Compressed Volume File
(CVF)

 Select the drive we want to compress or
uncompress
 On the Drive menu, click Compress
The compress a Drive dialog box appears
