This document outlines an assignment for a discussion on factors influencing strategy development. Students are asked to discuss three topics: 1) key factors for establishing product differentiation in the new post-recession environment, 2) whether luxury goods marketers should abandon premium pricing, and 3) how shifts in societal attitudes affect how marketers approach the customer value chain. Students must post an initial response of approximately 300 words by December 5th and comment on two peers' responses by December 9th. The assignment will be graded based on the insightfulness, originality, and understanding shown in the initial response, the quality of discussion participation, and writing mechanics.
