Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor with Hyper-Threading
Technology
Hyper-Threading Technology allows processors to function more efficiently when running multiple
tasks at the same time. Hyper-Threading Technology, however, does not deliver the performance
benefit of a dual-core processor. Because a dual-core processor has a second physical core with
its own set of dedicated execution resources, dual-core processors offer greater performance
potential than single-core processors with Hyper-Threading enabled.
