5. WHAT IS A VIRTUAL BUSINESS MANAGER?
The official definition of a Virtual Business Manager or Online Business Manager as it is more commonly
known; provided by Tina Forsyth, founder of the International Association of Online Business Managers is:
A virtually based support professional who manages online based businesses, including the day-
to-day management of projects, operations, team members and metrics.
Basically, an OBM manages the operations of your business. Their purpose is to help free up the business
owner from micro managing allowing them to focus their energy and time on building the business instead.
An OBM can be responsible for the following:
Project management i.e. manage short or long term projects, overseeing timelines, deliverables and team
responsibilities
Operations management i.e. management of business across the board from finance to marketing and
development of process and procedures as well as implementation of systems

I have had the privilege of working in international advertising agencies, corporate companies, with local and

7. MY STORY
I have always been a high achiever and worked hard to gain success in the
corporate world. At the same time, I use to daydream of owning an online business.
I did not pursue my dreams until I became a mom. Motherhood. It really changes
your perspective and priorities in life.
I am a marketer by profession and most of my career was spent in the advertising
industry managing clients businesses and brands with the objective of gaining
profitability. I really loved what I did but the hours were demanding and every hour
spent at work meant I was sacrificing quality time with my family.
For the past six years, I dabbled in many different types of businesses from affiliate
to network marketing to sales and online retailing but failed to establish those
businesses for a variety of reasons.
It's taken me years of trial and error before I founded Chicpreneur Marketing, which
was created out of my personal passion to help other ladies like myself, to start and
own a successful business.
Starting a business whether big or small, is tough. I know, I've been there. My hope
is that I am able to use my work experience to help other women realise their
dream of owning a successful business. The services I provide is catered to support

Ignite, a full fledge advertising agency part of the FCB network.
Reviewed, developed and implemented business plans across departments within the
agency to improve processes, workflow and increase productivity and profitability.

The Curve was a newly built shopping mall in an urban residential area.
