US foreign policy towards Venezuela has resulted in tenuous relations between the two powers. This webquest will explore the history of international relations between the two nations : economically, politically, culturally, and linguistically.

You will become an expert on the most vociferous debates between the two world leaders of north and south America. Your task will be to figure out why these two leaders cannot get along. You will be doing all of your research through internet articles in both English and Spanish from a variety of news sources so you can develop your own theory of why these two countries can’t get along. Once you have completed all ten of the assigned readings your group must also search for a minimum of 4 additional sources to further back up your opinions. For every additional source you have in English, you must have one in Spanish. After generating your opinions of why these two countries cannot get along, write a one page summary in Spanish expressing your views. Then write a one page analysis in English of how the United States can help quell the heated debate in order for both countries to become better neighbors. Title
