Mrs. Vadala was interviewed about her childhood in Italy. She enjoyed wearing skirts and tops as that was all she had access to. Her favorite snack was ice cream since it was a rare treat only available once or twice a year. The bus was her preferred method of transport because it was easy to catch. As a child she only had one doll, which was naturally her favorite toy since it was her only one. Her favorite teacher was Signorina Sergio because she was very kind. In her spare time she enjoyed watching the one or two TV channels that were available. She fondly remembers going on a school holiday camp. The beach, specifically Bianco Beach, was her favorite place to go. Nearby
