Tupac Amaru Shakur (June 16 1971- September
13 1996) also known by his stage names 2pac
and Makaveli was a American Rapper, Actor and
Poet.
3. EARLY LIFE
• Tupac was born in East Harlem, Manhattan,
NYC on June 16, 1971 to Afeni Shakur and Billy
Garland. He was named after Tupac Amaru, a
South American Revolutionary. Tupac moved
out of NYC at the age of 15 to Baltimore,
Maryland, and later to Marin, California. From
an Early age, Tupac was interested in Poetry
and Ballet.
4. Early Career
• In 1991 Tupac, now known as 2pac, signed
with Death Row records, and released his first
studio album 2PACAlypse Now. He got along
with famous rappers like Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg,
Nate Dogg and many more. He quickly started
a war with East Coast rapper Notorious B.I.G.
(2pac billing himself from Los Angeles).
5. Gang Trouble and Death
2pac was affiliated with Two of the most
notorious gangs in the USA, the Crips and the
Bloods. On September 7, 1996, 2pac assaulted a
Crips member outside a club. A couple of hours
later, Shakur, after attending the Mike Tyson vs.
Bruce Seldon Match in the MGM Grand arena in
Las Vegas, a Black SUV pulled up next to Shakur,
and Shot 12 bullets at him, 5 of which were
accurate. Shakur died 6 days later from Gunshot
wounds.
