The School vision is to develop lifelong learners.
OFSTED stated:
Governors support the school and are very keen for it to succeed. They access
training and are rigorous in keeping abreast of local and national developments.
The governor team shares responsibilities very effectively between its committees.
They ensure that safeguarding policy
and practice meet requirements.
A close eye is kept on the performance of pupils.
Governors are aware that standards need to
be higher and they challenge the school to raise
achievement.
3. How Can Governors Support
To Achieve The School Vision?
Governors will:
•be a critical friend to school
•ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
•hold the head teacher accountable for the educational
performance of the school and its pupils, and the
performance management of staff
•oversee the financial performance of the school and
make sure its money is well spent

• Determining how the school's budget is spent
• The appointing and dismissing of staff
• Hearing appeals and grievances
• Forming policy on the school's curriculum
• Setting standards for pupils' behaviour and discipline
• Making sure school buildings are welcoming and safe

Parent
Governors
Every governing body includes parent governors, and it can be a
rewarding way to be involved in your child’s school.
The most important qualities for being a governor are enthusiasm,
commitment and an interest in education. You don’t need teaching
experience, but it’s useful to bring skills from other areas of your
life.

Staff
Governors
Staff governors are elected by staff at the school to serve for, in
most cases, four years. The role of a staff governor can be both
challenging and rewarding and presents an excellent opportunity
for the individual member of staff to contribute to the decisions
that are made by the governing body as well as to build strong
links between the governing body and the staff of the school

nominations received from parents and other persons in the
