IMPORTANT DATES:
May 23- Third Grade Pool Party 1:30-3 (Bring your swimsuit, towel, and sunscreen.)
May 24- Farmer’s Day (school dismissed at 11am) Wear sunscreen and a hat.
May 29- Honor’s Night (Meet us in your Friday uniform in the classroom at 6:30pm.)
Program begins at 7pm in the Straz.
2. Please remember that on the last full day of school, Thursday, May 23, we will have
our annual third grade pool party from 1:30 -3:00. Bathing suits, (one piece for
girls), towel, sunscreen, and pool shoes will need to be brought to school that
morning by the students. Pool toys are not to be brought. The students will simply
swim and play with their third grade friends. Guards will be hired, and chaperones
will be designated to supervise the entire pool area.
If parents would like to come and observe and visit with others on the pool deck,
they are most welcome. The pool party should offer a final opportunity for everyone
to enjoy each other’s company in an informal and fun way at the end of the school
year. Parents who choose to attend should plan to remain out of the pool, unless
they are a designated chaperone/guard. After swimming, the students may go to
the PE locker rooms and change back into their dry clothing before dismissal.
A special treat of popsicles will be provided approximately half-way through the swim time. Thanks for all our support
in preparing the students for all of our special events and field trips this year. We hope that everyone has a safe and
enjoyable summer!
Sincerely,
The Third Grade Teachers
