25. SURE START BACKGROUND INFORMATION Return to Table of Contents Sure start is used to condition the water in aquariums and stop stress and disease occurring within the tank. Water containing Chlorine and Chloramine is harmful and highly toxic to fish and aquatic life. Sure Start removes toxic substances and neutralises harmful metals to prepare for the introduction of fish. Sure Start is an aid in maintaining fish’s fluid and electrolyte balance, and therefore reducing stress. Source: 20
