ABOUT BAUER MEDIA
Bauer Media is a division of the Bauer Media Group, Europe’s largest
   privately owned publishing Group. The Group is a worldwide media
   empire offering over 300 magazines in 15 countries, as well as
   online, TV and radio stations.
Our magazine heritage stretches back to 1953 with the launch of Angling
   Times and the acquisition in 1956 of Motor Cycle News, both still iconic
   brands within our portfolio.
In 1996, we acquired digital music TV channel The Box, as a route into the
    small screen business, which has grown into Box Television, a seven
    channel joint venture TV business with Channel 4.
Today, Bauer Media spans over 80 influential brand names covering a
   diverse range of interests including heat – the must have weekly
   celebrity title, heat, Closer, More and Grazia.

WHO BAUER MEDIA WORKS WITH
  Bauer Media distributers already distribute over 100 very popular
     magazines. The types of magazines they distribute range from
     gardening magazines to motorcycle magazines but what caught my
     attentions is that they distribute extremely popular magazines like
     Closer, Heat, Grazie and More. They also distribute music magazines
     like Kerrang and Q. They don’t distribute any Pop/ Chart music
     magazines so I think there is a gap in the market their. But as my
     magazine is a music and celebrity gossip magazine that contains
     articles like Heat and Closer would, I think they would be very interested
     in being a part of a magazine that contains two very popular genres.

•   Baurer Media is a very large and popular distribution company who could
    quickly and easily distribute my magazine to more than 15 countries.
•   They also have control over some very popular TV channels and radio
    stations which would mean they could advertise my magazine for free.
•   As Bauer Media is trusted and well known, large supermarkets and chain
    stores would stock my magazine without hesitation. Once they are in these
    stores my target audience can purchase the magazine.
•   A lot of distribution companies like to publish a large range of different
    genres. My magazine is different to many other magazines they already
    distribute which means they are more likely to distribute mine.
•   Bauer Media like to cross platforms by turning popular magazines into TV
    stations, radio stations and making websites for them. This means they have
    the same philosophy as me by wanting to make it very versatile and
    accessible to as many people as possible.
•   My target audience is teenagers (13-19). People of this age are always out and
    about and mobile. They also spend a lot of the time on the internet. Bauer
    Media like to make as many brands related to them as mobile and interactive
    as they can which fits my target audience perfectly.
